EdFuel will be offering optional virtual preparation webinars for registered participants. These webinars will provide guidance on using the platform, how to effectively engage with schools via online text chat, and best practices for meaningful interaction with school recruiters.

These 60-minute preparation webinars are optional but highly recommended. Please use the following links to register for the webinar option that works best with your schedule:

WHAT ORGANIZATIONS WILL BE AT THE FAIR?

The fair is geared toward both current and prospective teachers. At the fair, you’ll find representatives from:

    • Schools based in Washington, DC
    • Educator preparation programs
    • District government agencies (to share information on citywide teacher benefit programs such as transportation and housing)

Please note that each day features different schools and organizations. To see the full list of participating organizations, click on the registration links for Day One and Day Two.

HOW DOES A “VIRTUAL” RECRUITMENT FAIR WORK?

The virtual platform being used for the event allows exhibitors (participating organizations) to host a virtual recruitment “booth” that candidates can enter to learn more about each organization and their current openings or program. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in one-on-one, online text chats to determine relevant next steps (for example, beginning the official interview process).

As a commitment to DC’s current and prospective educators, funding for this fair was generously provided by The deLaski Family Foundation. This funding has allowed for the fair to be free and open to all candidates and participating organizations.
