The Virtual Talent Summit is a half-day event hosted annually by EdFuel. It brings together leaders from schools, districts, nonprofits, and foundations to focus on building talent and HR systems that are fair, sustainable, and built to last. Sessions are practical, grounded in national data, and designed so you leave with tools you can put to work right away. Be the first to hear when 2027 dates and registration open.
Who Should Attend
Superintendents, network and school leaders, chief talent and people officers, HR and operations leaders, and funders: anyone responsible for how their organization recruits, pays, develops, and keeps great people. Whether you are early in your talent and HR work or stress-testing a mature system, there is a track for you.
What to Expect
- Two levels in every session. Choose Foundations or Advanced for each topic so the content meets you where you are.
- Topics built around real needs. Breakouts focus on the talent areas leaders ask about most, such as compensation, performance management, and staffing.
- Grounded in national data. Content draws on EdFuel’s national charter school benchmark data on compensation, benefits, and staffing.
- Tools to take home. Every session sends you home with a template or worksheet to use with your team.

- State of Talent 2026: EdFuel CEO Kerri-Ann Pitts opened with key sector data and the pressures shaping K-12 and mission-driven talent work.
- Keynote panel, Talent Intelligence in Action: Moderated by Jamey Roberts (Charter School Growth Fund), with Eric Collazo (Washington Leadership Academy), Alex Horowitz (AI for Equity), Amanda Craft (Uncommon Schools), and Erica Beal (School Leader Lab), on how schools are using AI in recruiting, hiring, staffing, and retention.
- Six breakout sessions: Compensation System Design, Performance Management System Design, and Strategic Workforce Planning & Staffing Models, each offered at the Foundations and Advanced levels.
