Join us for an 8-month in-person peer learning community designed to accelerate education leaders who are change agents for the future
Each school year, EdFuel offers Peer Learning Communities (PLCs) that are designed to allow participants to dive deeply into various themes and functional areas. In monthly sessions, participants convene with one of our expert facilitators to share their experiences and raise problems of practice with peers in order to identify potential solutions.
PLCs are held in-person in Washington D.C. on a monthly basis from September 2019 to April 2020. They run for approximately 2.5 hours during the business day. Past participants include but are not limited to, teachers, school leaders and individuals working in education-focused non-profit organizations.
This upcoming school year, the following three PLC sessions will be offered:

What’s in it for participants?
EdFuel’s PLC program prepares participants to navigate the complex challenges of driving organizational change. PLCs are facilitated by a proven expert in the relevant area.
Each participant defines one to three job-embedded development projects to pursue over the course of the year. During monthly convenings, participants learn strategies and best practices to drive their growth and development.
At the culmination of the PLC, participants will walk away with a formal 360 feedback report that incorporates feedback from their colleagues, manager(s), and direct report(s). In addition, all of EdFuel’s PLCs take an intentional eye toward diversity, equity, and inclusiveness; every facilitator ensures DEI content is explicitly built into every session as the foundation for the work.
Which PLCs are being offered?
The PLCs listed below will be offered during the 2019-20 school year in Washington D.C. In addition, EdFuel also offers Internal PLCs, which consist of a group of staff members at one organization. Please contact knesbeth@edfuel.org for more information about any of our PLC offerings.
What is the commitment?
PLCs run for 8 months, starting in September 2019. Each month, PLCs will convene for 2.5 hours during the business day (typically on Thursdays from 9-11:30am). Cohort members are allotted a maximum of two excused absences throughout the duration of the program.
Exact dates for each monthly convening will be selected in August based on participant availability. Click to view the drafted scope and sequence for each PLC offering below.
